Lash Mapping

What are Lash Maps?

A lash map is a customized, technical blueprint used by lash artists to plan the exact lengths, curls, and volumes of eyelash extensions, drawn onto under-eye pads to ensure symmetrical, flattering results tailored to a client’s eye shape.

What are Lash Maps?

What suits my eyes?

No two eyes are the same. From almond to round, hooded to monolid, each eye shape carries its own structure, proportions, and natural balance. Lash mapping is simply a way to work with that shape—enhancing what’s already there rather than forcing a one-style-fits-all approach.

Understanding your eye shape matters because it directly affects how lashes sit, lift, and frame the eye. A style that elongates one eye may overwhelm another. By taking your shape into consideration, you can create a result that feels more seamless, more flattering, and more intentional—whether that means opening the eye, lifting the outer corner, or adding subtle definition.

At the same time, this is a guide—not a rulebook. There’s no right or wrong way to style your lashes. Once you understand your shape, you can choose to enhance it, soften it, or completely play against it. The goal is simple: create a look that feels like you.

Below is our eye shape guide to help you figure out your ideal lash map.

Common Lash Maps

Natural Eye Natural Eye

Natural Eye

The Natural Eye is designed to enhance your lashes without altering your shape. Lengths are kept soft and even across the lash line, with only a subtle variation to maintain a seamless, barely-there finish.

Understated and natural.

The result is a clean, polished look that feels like your lashes—just elevated. Perfect for everyday wear, or when you want definition without distraction.

Cat Eye Cat Eye

Cat Eye

The Cat Eye is designed to elongate the eye with a subtle outward pull. Length and fullness gradually build toward the outer corner, creating a soft lift that enhances your natural shape without feeling overdone.

It’s structured, but effortless. Defined, yet still wearable.

The result is a clean, elongated finish that adds quiet drama—perfect for everyday polish or a more elevated look.

Doll Eye Doll Eye

Doll Eye

The Doll Eye is designed to widen and brighten the eye by placing the longest lengths at the center. Fullness builds toward the middle of the lash line, then softly tapers on both sides to create a rounded, eye-opening effect.

It’s fresh, effortless, and subtly defined.

The result is a lifted, more awake appearance that enhances your natural shape—perfect for everyday wear or a softer, more youthful finish.

Kitten Eye Kitten Eye

Kitten Eye

The Kitten Eye is a softer take on the classic Cat Eye. Length builds toward the outer half of the lash line, with the longest point sitting just before the outer corner, then gently tapering off. This creates a lifted effect without extending too far outward.

It’s refined and easy to wear.

The result is a natural-looking lift that enhances the eye with quiet definition—perfect for those who want shape and structure, without the drama of a full cat eye.
